LEROY J. THOMPSON
 COLUMBUS JUNCTION - LeRoy John Thompson, 70, died today at 7:40 a.m. at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.
 Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation begins Saturday at the funeral home.
 LeRoy Thompson was born June 5, 1909 in rural Columbus Junction. The son of William and Blanche Stineman Thompson. He married Ruth Van Auken on Dec. 24, 1934 in Davenport.  He was a life resident of Columbus Junction and was a butcher by trade.
 Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Frances) Rode, Columbus Junction; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Willard (Edith) Martin and Mrs. Edgar (Cecelia) Harl of Muscatine; and two brothers, Ray Thompson and Reuben Thompson of Muscatine.

COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Services for LeRoy John Thompson, 70, were held Sunday afternoon at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home.
Rev. Denley Ganfield officiated. Donna Belle Hughes was the organist.
Pallbearers were Walter Kauffman, Robert Crooks, Robert Thomas, Arthur Johnson, Danny Boyd and Earl Copelan.
Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery.
